Birth. Motherhood. Movement. Connection.
Support to help you understand your body, trust yourself and feel deeply held through pregnancy, birth, postpartum and beyond.
Through doula care, antenatal education, yoga, movement and sound, I bring together evidence and information with the wisdom of the body — helping you feel informed without becoming overwhelmed, prepared without becoming fearful, and supported without taking away your own power.
Based in Stoke Newington, London & online.

A whole-being approach to birth
Birth is not something that happens to you.
It is something you participate in — with your mind, your body, and your breath working as one.
The Happy Birth Course recognises that preparation for birth must be holistic. We cannot prepare the body without the mind. We cannot calm the mind without regulating the breath. And we cannot truly trust birth without understanding the system we are birthing within.
This is hypnobirthing — integrated, expanded, and embodied.

Birth and Postpartum Doula based in Stoke Newington.
My care is rooted in unwavering kindness and deep respect for your journey. I’m passionate about helping you understand the truth of birth — releasing fear, building trust, and reconnecting with your inner wisdom.
Together, we explore all of your options and prepare for the birth you want, whatever that may look like.
My approach is holistic and connected, working with the mind, body, and breath as one. All support blends practical guidance, emotional care, and evidence-based knowledge, so you feel confident, informed, and deeply held throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Hi, I’m Emily
I’m a birth and postpartum doula, antenatal educator, hypnobirthing teacher and yoga teacher with over 18 years of experience working with bodies, breath and movement.
My work is grounded in a simple belief: the more we understand ourselves, the more confidently we can move through change.
I bring together birth physiology, evidence and informed choice with movement, breath, nervous-system regulation and deep respect for your own instincts.
I’m not here to tell you the “right” way to birth, parent or move.
I’m here to help you understand your options, connect to yourself and feel supported enough to find your way.
Birth is not something that simply happens to you.
It is something you participate in — with your mind, body and breath working together.
I believe birth preparation should help you understand physiology and the system you are birthing within, while also teaching you when to put the information down and come back to yourself.
To prepare for different paths without expecting something to go wrong.
To understand your choices without believing there is one “right” choice.
And ultimately, to build enough knowledge, connection and trust that you can meet your birth as yourself.

The Heart of My Work

Understand
Knowledge can soften fear. Understand your body, your options and the systems around you.
Connect
Come back to your body, breath, instincts and the people supporting you.
Trust
Build confidence in yourself — not in following somebody else’s version of how things should be.
Be Held
Feel genuinely supported, cared for and met where you are, without judgement or agenda.

Story
What seemed like a potential extravagance (having a doula) quickly felt like one of the most important investments of the whole pregnancy for both me and my baby. Emily has a beautiful boundless energy and genuine care for what she does.

Reflection
Emily is the most gorgeous teacher. Infinitely knowledgable, gently supportive, utterly inspiring. Our retreat was magic – if you're curious too, believe me, you deserve it. It's the kindest decision you'll make for yourself all year.
