What is YOGA?

For many, the practice begins on the yoga mat. In the beginning, the idea that it could be anything more can feel intimidating. Yoga is a path of tuning into the self, reconnecting with the breath and body, and regaining composure and steadiness of the mind. This journey is not linear, and each teacher offers a unique approach, using the asana practice (physical postures) to bring deeper awareness to the self. The ability to truly see and know oneself is a superpower—one that allows for greater freedom, contentment, and ease in life.

As ever-changing beings, failing to recognize this can create obstacles to self-acceptance and contentment. A regular practice not only strengthens awareness but also deepens the understanding of change, allowing individuals to embrace who they are in the present moment. Yoga is a practice—an ongoing journey of growth and self-discovery.

Classes with Emily

Emily Clare Hill’s classes go beyond movement; they serve as a guide to self-understanding and self-awareness. Her approach encourages students to feel comfortable and connected to their bodies, fostering a sense of harmony where all systems are aware, awake, and attuned to one another. Classes are open and light in their offering, designed to leave participants feeling good while also encouraging introspection. She incorporates mantra (mind keeper), affirmations, meditation techniques for focus, and Sankalpa (intention) as tools to establish a deep sense of unity within.

Sound Healing

Since discovering sound healing, Emily Clare Hill has been awakened to the power of this ancient practice. Most people naturally use sound to support and heal themselves—whether through music, nature, or silence—often without realizing its profound effect. Emily primarily works with crystal bowls and the voice to create a vibration of healing and calm. Sound has a unique ability to regulate and release energy in a beautiful way. It can bring to the surface the emotions or tensions people are holding onto, sometimes manifesting through visions, emotions, laughter, tears, or even a deep fatigue that eventually gives way to revitalization.

Emily offers sound baths as a form of meditation, guiding participants into a deep, meditative state. Attendees are invited to lie down on a yoga mat and “bathe” in the sounds, which do not follow a particular melody. Some may choose to remain seated on comfortable cushions throughout the session.

She also provides one-on-one sessions, which offer a more personal experience, with shared awareness and intentions between herself and the participant.

What it is?

Sound healing is a powerful therapy that integrates various healing sounds, music, and instruments to enhance multidimensional well-being. This practice gently awakens all layers of the luminous energy field—body, mind, soul, and spirit.

Integral sound healing is highly effective in triggering the body’s relaxation response, counteracting the effects of chronic stress, and promoting overall balance. Instruments such as Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, and tuning forks can be used both on and off the body, often combined with vocal sounds and tones.

In today’s fast-paced world, many people experience constant pressure from work, finances, and family responsibilities, leading to overwhelming stress. The prevalence of digital connectivity only adds to this burden, making it essential to prioritize self-care.

Sound meditations, such as gong baths, have become increasingly popular for stress relief, offering a powerful way to unwind and cultivate inner peace. Sound has long been used to heal and balance various aspects of life, deeply interwoven with spiritual traditions across cultures and civilizations. Throughout history, many have dedicated their lives to sharing transformative sounds, recognizing their immense potential for spiritual growth and healing.
